honeycomb engine


corvus, a fellow game nerd i met a couple months back posted some logo options for his new rpg game engine on his blog . . . and while the engine itself is really exciting and interesting, the logos feel very old school tsr . . . sorry corvus :)

anyway, i wanted to show him a concept that had more juice. i think this captures an element of his engine (you place tokens into various hex-shaped holders) as well as being a bit more dynamic.

  1. Thanks for putting this together Bo, it looks great! My very first rough (notpublished in that post) used a very similar perspective.

    I do feel I should clarify something, though. The logos I posted on my site are just roughs and designed to illicit response about various design elements. The final version, which I'll be basing on the input I receive, will probably be done in Blender 3D and incorporate some color.

    I also want to make sure that the final logo is consistent with the design of the Life Wheels (character sheets) and overall look of the site I'm building for the system.

    Anyway, I'm counting this as your, very eloquent, vote and I hope I'm competent enough that you'll see your input reflected in the final design!
